A Bit About Me

My names Nathalie Elesia but you can call me Natt, i am doing the BA Hons Make-up& Hair Design.  This course is different for me because i do not come from  this particular background, i come from an art background. I have  several art qualifications because my passions is art, and all things creative. Its the drug i feed on without art, films creative outlets then for me i wouldn't be the person who i am today. Films are also my passion old& new horror movies i just love all the different kinds of special effects you got even in the old early horror movies. I should have been an actress too because i loved drama as a kid i always loved to express myself so i couldn't wait to do drama.

When i was a child from the ages of 6 to 16 i use to model for M&CO its a well known clothes shop, we belonged to this club called the Kylie club. Me Simone Kylie, Stephanie pals that i grew up and we did lost of stuff together, anyway there was this competition and the prize was 4 people win like a contract that has to end when you reach 16. It was to model  all the latest kids clothes, photographers would come in and take our pictures my mum didn't approve as such but, it was fantastic. We weren't famous or anything but we were known where we lived. It was fun times there was great memories but when i look back at that event we looked like one of those pageants dolls, where they try and look all grown up with fancy dresses teeth whitened, hair and make done. We all had our teeth whitened, we all wore glittery dresses some short as well, no mother would approve of that not if it was your kid trying to be grown up when your 6 years old, but what can i say we loved it, we had the most fun experience ever but as i said me and friends all look back and think it was quite disturbing actually. 

We were in the local paper so people knew us,  because we were known the mayor at the time announced that there was going to be this park, and that he was going to have a fancy shire horse with a platted mane riding through the park with me Stephanie, Simone and Kylie on it. So we got to open the park, cut the red ribbon . The horse was so big we near fell off we were hanging on to each other as well, if you have seen a shire horse you will know how big and strong they are because they are working horses. They use to pull logs, and other stuff in the old times, so you can imagine sitting on a shire horse clinging on frighten to fall off. Sadly the park was closed down ages ago because people were't  using it right they were using it for drugs and stuff, but the majority used it as a good hang out place, back then parents knew where we were and they could shout to us if we needed to come in but we were safe. The park cost 800 thousand pounds which was a lot of money in my town, because there was loads of poor areas, and deprived so when the park was there  it was a blessing. Now its gone and it back to being a field again along with the famous cycle camel trail.

So this Make-up& Hair Design is different for me and unique, i wear make-up but applying professionally is the bit i want to learn more about. I want to incorporate my art into make-up i am always going to be an artist because make-up and hair is creativity the clients are the canvas and were the artist that are going to work on the canvas.  I am always open minded because you need to have an open mind in this career, because at the end of the day i will do any job in the creative industry, you  have to start somewhere.
